It's Poets' Day

I finished my shift half an hour ago. I still don't have my computer running the way it's supposed to. I can't get my programs or internet explorer to work. I'm sitting here, at the college, in one of the computer labs. I'm the only one in here. It's saturday morning so I don't expect anyone to be coming into the school. I have Sunday off! I was supposed to work on Sunday, but they have enough people this weekend. I was supposed to have last Sunday off, but they needed some people to come in so they asked me. I need to catch up on my sleep.

Mr. Gerrod, the guy I work with, was going to quit after working here for 5 years. He said that he didn't really want to quit because he liked the job, but a guy who was here for only four months got a raise and a promotion. That would piss me off too. The guy who has the promotion (Mike) doesn't have that much experience so he's always calling Mr.G to help him with stuff. Mr.G should have gotten the promotion, not Mike. I don't like Mike all that much to be honest. I find he talks down to me like he thinks I'm stupid or something. I find it insulting, but I just tell myself that he only does it because he's ignorant. Some people just can't help being ignorant. Usually when someone is arrogant, they are ignorant. They just go hand in hand.

This week has been pretty interesting. I hear stuff going on all the time. Someone from the morning shift caught a bunch of guys from our crew sleeping on the job. It's not the only time these guys have been sleeping on the job, they will only work for half the shift and they will sneak off somewhere and sleep. One guy was only working for an hour and he was off sleeping somewhere. A lot of guys on our crew are so lazy. The guy I was working with before Mr.G is so lazy. I was happy when I got to work by myself, but they had me stuck in the M building which is a scary place to be in, especially at night.

I like my new section a lot better. I got almost the whole section done tonight except for a couple of rooms, but they don't get used very often anyway, so they can wait until monday to get done. Nobody is going to be using them on the weekend. I got the main rooms cleaned, the ones that the public uses.

I get to clean the Ambulance Lab, and the Fire Protection Lab. I want to bring my camera to work, just so that I can take some pictures. I like the Fire Protection Lab because they have all the firefighting gear upstairs. I also like going into the Simulation Lab. That is where I take my breaks. I want to describe it, but when you see the pictures, you'll see what it's like.

I don't know what else to write. I guess I'll have to post later.
