Just waking up, here. Sunlight in my eyes.
For breakfast, I like fruit. 
It's easy, sweet naturally, healthy, and tastes good.

My neighbor says he'll let me give him 3 things to try.
He didn't like the first 2 things.
He said if he doesn't like the next and last thing, 
he'll be mad lol. 

Probably won't be MAD lol, 
but he didn't like the first 2 things.

One is keefer. It's that thick dairy whatever it is.
He said it'd like yogurt. 
Didn't like it. 

I got a goat milk one and goat milk is really rich
compared to cow milk.

goat milk makes cheese really rich.
Goat milk feta cheese is the best.

I know of one deli that has it. 
An Italian deli. 

Haven't been there a lot, 
only a few times. 

Mostly been too broke to get the good stuff.

The second thing I gave him to try
are these seaweed snacks. 
He called it fish skin lol.

I like it because of the salty crispness.
Like eating it as a snack.

I'd like to give him a leechi and see what he thinks lol.

Been working on a directory of sorts.
I bought a digital camera and put it somewhere.
Now I don't know where it is.

I thought I had put it back in its box, 
but I didn't.

I had been planning on keeping it in there, 
SO I WOULDN'T LOSE IT.
ENDED UP LOSING IT.

It's probably in this place, somewhere.
Last time I saw it, was here.

I got it to take pics for my sites.
My camera on my phone doesn't take pics anymore.
My phone hardly even works anymore.

Just have to figure out how to take pictures for it.

Phones are freaking expensive.
If I can lose a digital camera, 
I could easily lose a phone.

Part of why I prefer having a home phone.
If I lost a cell phone, I'd be fkd.

Couldn't get it replaced.

A home phone's there when I need it.
Can't lose it.

I was too harsh with the last volunteer
calling up for fundraisers...

IT BUGS ME THAT THEY CALL ME.

IT'S MOSTLY THOSE CHARITIES.

I don't mind donating to good causes.
Just shouldn't be calling people up like that.

And anyone can say they are with whatever organization. 
Just to get your card details. 

It'd be cool to have other ways to donate.

But those phone campaigns... 
Are a bane in my existence. 

Those make up the majority of my calls.

I'm probably in a directory somewhere.

And having a "landline" makes people think
that you're in a house
and have money to throw around....

I get calls for duct cleaning... 
I swear if they call me once more
AFTER TELLING THEM 8 TIMES
THAT I DON'T LIVE IN A HOUSE, 
I'M GOING TO LOSE MY SH*T.

And on top of that, they only have outgoing calls.
If they were legit, they'd be able to be called back.

I believe it's a scam. 

I think they get people to pay upfront
and they don't come do the work
and disappear into the night with the money.

My neighbor was telling me about when he went to Aruba.
It was for his honeymoon. 
They are divorced now.

Anyway, he was telling me about the islands he saw.
It was a cruise ship they went on. 

And then he was telling me about that young woman
who was there with classmates and was k!lled. 
They caught the guy.
He thought his rich lawyer father
would somehow save his @ss.
And his father died.

There's a laundromat place I used to go to
when I used to live in this area.

I lived in a rooming house that had no laundry.
There are at least a few places around here.

The one I mentioned... 
They turned it into a coffee place, also. 

So I've been thinking about checking it out, soon. 

There are laundry machines here, 
but I just... Don't want to do it here.

For the first few months, I've taken my laundry
across town to my folks' to do it there.

A chick was chilling with my neighbor and I...
She supposedly lives in the building, too. 

Anyway, she was going to go get a coffee
and asked me if I wanted one.... I said sure....

Said she'd be right back....
A chick who was also chilling
told me the next day
that the chick did come back
like 3 and a half hours
after I finally went back in. 

"Be right back" Like 4 hours later....
It was the thought that counts, though.
At least she thought enough of me
to ask me if I wanted one. 

Not mad, just coffee.

My neighbor taught me how to get
to the back of the building. 

Now I can just duck out the back.

Hard to duck out the front
with everyone sitting out there....

I'll join them once in a while. 

Just they'll be out there, drinking all day.
I can be social sometimes
but not every day lol.
Not all day, every day.

Just they don't seem to have a lot going on. 
And just sitting outside's a change of pace.

They've been nice and welcoming, though.

Just that I don't want to feel obligated
to stop and talk
when I've got stuff to do, 
places to go, etc.

So now I can sneak out the back.

My neighbor was talking about concrete, 
a few days ago.

Because we were talking about the work
out the front of the building being done.
Getting a new ramp, new brickwork...

Anyway he was saying that a cubic foot of concrete....
Has a certain weight.... I forgot how much he said it weighs.

And I was going back to what I was telling him, 
how the top of this building, 
is probably a lot of weight on the bottom.

The building has certain building codes, 
so it was built to the "standards" of when it was built. 

I think it is around 50 years old, this building. 

A chick I was talking to... She said she sleeps
in her livingroom. 

Says her room has a bad vibe.

I just use my bedroom as storage.
It has a vibe in there, but it's not bad.

The last place I was in... That one room...
And whatever that thing is....

I'm hoping it stayed there.

I think I would have had another encounter with it
by now if it followed me here. I hope not.

That thing used to jump on me.

The last dream I had, it rushed me.
Never seen anything like it.

Anyway, there was a guy here....
He "lost it" I guess...

He got kicked out but how they did it was rotten.
They had him locked up at the hospital.

Because he was in there, they took his stuff.
He had like 15 guitars in his place.

They just took all his stuff. 

When he got out of the hospital, 
he tried coming back here, 
but they'd already cleared it out, 
took his stuff, called the cops on him. 

Might take him back to the hospital...

Rotten, right?

The time before the last time I saw him,
he'd followed my neighbor and I down to the church
to eat with us.

And we hadn't seen him or anything for months.
Because that was in March.

So he got "picked up" around that time.
And just got out around this time.

And yeah, you can be locked up
until they want to let you out.

If you are there voluntarily, 
they can't really do f*ck all.

A nurse tried calling security on me
because she tried pulling a heavy on me.

When they came, I was playing cards.
Made me end my game to "talk"

Said I could walk out the door any time I wanted to.
So if they were going to pull anything, 
I could just walk out. 

They left.

If I wasn't there voluntarily, 
they'd have seen me "sitting by the door"
as an "escape attempt."

F*ckers.

Anyway, I had a roommate that kept getting the sedative....

It should be illegal to just inject you against your will, like that.
JUST BECAUSE WE'RE IN THERE
DOESN'T MEAN WE SHOULDN'T HAVE RIGHTS.

PRETTY SURE THEY, THEMSELVES, 
HAVE A RIGHT NOT TO BE INJECTED

It's a heavy sedative that works too well. 
Waking up from that is harsh.

There are reasons they don't want pictures/video
taken in there. It's not all to do with privacy rights.

CAN'T SEE WHAT IT'S LIKE IN THERE.

I was passing a bus shelter and there was a fkn rig in it.

Besides THAT, most of the shelters are meant
for summer months, not for winter.
There's not a shelter at every stop.

Someone across the street threw a couch out, 
and a dude was sleeping on it
until it got picked up lol. 

My neighbor wants to go fishing today
and he's got a rod I can use. 

I haven't been fishing since I was a kid... 
Like 8 years old or something lol. 

I remember my first catch.

Was at a lake in Quebec. 
Someone rented a cottage and brought me. 

Fishing laws are strict in Canada.

There's a story my neighbor was telling me...
About a guy he knows...

He had a cottage in Quebec. 
He was there with a friend of his, closing the cottage. 

Up here, we close cottages for the winter, 
because too cold to stay up there, etc.

Anyway, him and his friend were at his cottage in Quebec, 
closing it for the winter...

They took the boat out, with a few beers, to go fishing. 
They were releasing the fish back into the lake.

An "official" saw them and stopped them. 
Raided the guy's cottage, took his boat, his truck, too. 

Like Federal Wildlife cops. 

So he had to have his vehicles impounded.
And you have to pay for them while they are impounded. 
Like up to $500/day depending what it is.
Because it takes up space in the impound lot.

Plus insurance.

For over a couple of years.

Just because it wasn't fishing season. 
And they got caught fishing. 
Even though they were releasing them. 

I don't have a fishing license. 

But it's not like they go up and down the rivers
pinging people for fishing. 

Just a lot more strict in some places.
Like in Quebec. 
At lakes.

Here, I see people fishing in the river, 
and in the ponds.

Nobody's said anything to them, that I've seen. 

I don't particularily like fishing. 
But I'll go, once.

And I might buy that digital camera he's got.
He says he has one he would have sold me.
Maybe it's better than the one I got.

Either way, I'd like to just get the pics taken. 
Uploaded etc. 

It'd be wild to find more bones, though. Eh?

It'd be freaky to find the upper half.

It's not like that happens all the time, 
but bodies have been found in there.

The other day he said he saw a dead dog.
Said must have fallen in somewhere...

Thinking it was gang related.
It'd be even more wild if it wasn't. 

Like some granny or someone.
Someone nobody would suspect.

I told him that I'd call him around noon. 

A couple people said they'd go fishing with him
and didn't turn up to go.

I said I would, so I'll go.

He's been wanting to do oter stuff
besides being around here.

Plus, he wants to get the tarps from his shack.
Asked me if I'd go with him. 

We could probably circle back another way, 
walk back here.

I don't know how the bus'll be with fishing gear.

Trying to talk him into doing a fishing site.
He's thinking about making videos about lures.
Fly tying or whatever he calls it.

And he took a forklift operator course. 

He wants a change of gears from painting. 

Can't say I blame him. 
He's told me about painting jobs he's done.

He painted the inside of a steeple.
And he was explaining how the "stage" worked.
How it clipped together to hold onto the "wall"
and onto itself to be solid to stand on. 

Sometimes painting jobs are nutso, though.

Like when you have a whole new building to paint.
And it all has to be ready in a short amount of time...

Kind of like how some cleaning jobs can be nutso. 
At the college, it wasn't so bad...
It was depressing, but not so bad.

AT CBC... A DUDE SHAT IN THE SINK.

The hotel wasn't bad, either.

Except that time I was sick and they wanted me to go in
and show my replacements what I do on the shift.

BECAUSE I WAS LEGIT SICK.

LIKE PUKING EVERY 10 MINUTES...

LIKE PUKING INTO THE TRASH BAG
ON THE BACK OF THE CART. IT WAS THAT BAD.

Cleaning's mostly an easy job. 
Cutting corners with it
only makes the corners you cut add up.

Like when I worked with my ex...
He was supposed to be doing dusting he wasn't doing. 

It was getting so bad we almost lost the contract.

All because he didn't feel like doing it.
Or he would have just done it.

It's just not the kind of job I want to do for the rest of my life.
Some people get legit satisfaction from it.
Good for them. 
I do, too, mostly, 
just that when you clean at work, 
and have to clean at home, too...

I'd imagine that's how chefs feel. 
Cook all day at work and have to cook at home, too.

But being around food all the time, 
can save some for later
so you don't have to cook later... 

I just heard on the radio
that they took ice from 4 hometown arenas 
to bring to the arena where the big game'll be.
Pretty sure the Oilers are playing.

That's how much we love our hockey lol. 

Just chilling for a bit before I call my neighbor. 
I've gotta invest in some sunglasses, though. 

A few things I wish I could find, 
but I found a charger for another camera I have. 
I'm charging the battery for it.
Hoping it still works. 
No idea where I put the one I just got. 

I've gotta clean this place. 

Besides, my neighbor has one he would have sold me.
So if all else fails, there's that.

I was at a walmart the other day....

It seems they don't have any tiger malts anymore. 

Someone was telling me that there's no
American liquor being sold here
because of the tarrifs.

Nobody can get any Jack Daniels etc.

That's gotta be hitting pretty hard. 
All the alcoholics that can't get American booze

I know I have at least a couple of pairs of them, but 
I moved the box I had with stuff in it, somewhere.


Well, we didn't go fishing today.
We took a walk to the latin food place.
I got him to try a dessert I like from there.

Watched the construction dudes making progress.
They did.

Some cr@cker walked through their site ffs.
Was wild. 

Like right under the arm of the bobcat
while they were lifting something,
a concrete garbage can onto a truck. 

Just wild. 

And the swat were here, today. 

Someone said they heard a gunshot
from one of the apartment
so they sent 6 cops to a lady's door...
She never does anything but works.

Was wild opening her door to that.

First thing I saw. 

Was typing here, went to call my neighbor... 
Typed until he came up... 

Anyway, was hot, but we had a pretty good breeze.
