Started Painting

I used to like to draw and paint, and stuff.
I lost myself a lot of times. 
If I had ever found myself to lose myself...

The people I don't hear from... 
Not surprised I didn't hear from them on my birthday. 
Or should I say I shouldn't be?

Would have been nice, but whatever.

I was the one calling my friends on MY birthday. 
And I guess they felt obligated to talk BECAUSE.

Shouldn't feel sh*tty, but still kinda does.

I turned the heat back on last night, 
but it's still cold in here. 

Sometimes cold makes it easier to sleep, 
sometimes harder, when you wake up
with the awareness of being cold
when you're trying to be sleeping... 

I know I could have just wrote "sleep"
instead of be sleeping... 
I just want to say things my way.
Anything wrong with that?
Shouldn't be.

I suppose I'm lucky he only smashed the mirror, 
AS SHITTY AS THAT WAS TO DO, TO ME.
I was just thinking it'd suck if he broke a window.

I totally believe the 7 years of bad luck, though.
I must have smashed a billion mirrors
in past lifetimes that it carried on to this one.

Maybe it was someone else's turn...

Been listening to "The Drifters" lately. 
I have a cassette with some classic songs....
The one playing now is "a rose in spanish harlem."
With the saxaphone.

Also sounds like a tin drum. 

Speaking of someone else's turn...

My stepfather when I was asked where to put something,
at my folks' place...  He said "it's up your buttocks."

But he said it in a Brit accent.

So I said "It's up YOUR buttocks."

So he says "Not up my buttocks again! 
let it be someone else's turn."

In a Brit accent again, 
because we were just talking about Monty Python. 

Sometimes I wonder how people came up with their names.
Like Monty Python, and Pink Floyd, 
and The Drifters etc. 

Is it etc? I kept spelling it e c t. 
WELL, then...

Been so tired lately. 
I'd let them come inside, 
but when I go near them, they take off. 

Kind of have to catch them unawares
to catch them. 

And I'd rather not just grab them.

That one I did 'capture'
sat on my hand, sat on my lap, 
stood on my shoulder ETC.

See? I spelled it right this time.
Bonus points. 

I've been hearing about 'tik tok'.
Been avoiding it. 

I'm not one for that kind of stuff. 
Even with facebook, I stick to maybe the first 10
things on the "scroll feed thing"
and I'm good on the "facebook thing."

I know a guy who's been addicted to facebook. 
It was to the point that when I came over, 
it seemed ALL he wanted to do was be on facebook.
WHILE I WAS RIGHT F*CKING THERE.

THERE ARE TIMES TO PUT THINGS ASIDE.
ESPECIALLY WITH A FRIEND VISITING YOU.
IN YOUR HOUSE
RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU.

AND THE POINT OF THEM BEING THERE, EVEN, 
WAS TO BE THERE, WITH YOU.
TO DO SOMETHING.
TOGETHER.

SPEND TIME, TOGETHER.

It got to the point that I had to bring it up.
BECAUSE WTF.
I'VE BEEN TOO OLD FOR THAT SH*T.
A LONG TIME AGO.

That's what bothers me about most people.
THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO
JUST NOT BE ON THEIR PHONES
ALL THE DAMN TIME.

I HAVEN'T EVEN TOUCHED MINE
IN MAYBE A MONTH.
IT'S JUST BEEN SITTING ON MY DESK. 

I just used it to play videos while
"working" on my computer... 
For background music...
Or background 'whatever.'
Background (fill in the blank) _______.

I did at least one thing last night....
I had to take my medication
and actually sleep, though, 
or I would have kept going
to do 'just one more thing' all night. 
As per usual. 

I have to come up with a new color scheme
and a gradient for the background. 

The kind of gradient that you hardly realize IS a gradient, 
but it does make the difference
between a gradient and a flat color. 

Anyway, we'll see. 
I have to get ready to go do something.
I'll write when I get home.
