Vibe On That

Hard to sleep, again. I got tired after the last post I wrote.
Tried to sleep. Wasn't working. 

I made the mistake of trying to sleep
to a video my brain wanted to listen to.
About how the Bank of Canada dropping
interest rates, for the 5th time. 

The market is crashing. 

The unemployment rates have gone up.
Not enough jobs to go around?

People spending less because It costs more?
AND THEY AREN'T ABLE TO AFFORD.
THE CRAZY SPENDING THEY WANT
TO STIMULATE THE ECONOMY.

Interest rates at the bank of Canada dropped, 
but not interest rates of new builds.

It's to the point that some people
aren't able to afford to finish building a house.

It's hard to explain. 

It's so f*cked that it's beyond f*cked.
It's a tax break for only 2 months, but only on some things.
That will cost more for the businesses.

THE BUSINESSES DRIVING THE ECONOMY. 

THE BUSINESSES HEADED SOUTH.
FOR LESS TAXES, MORE GAINS.
DOING WHAT? TAKING JOBS WITH THEM. 

Y'know what? Something like 30% of our food
comes from the United States.

That's pretty f*cked. 
Food costs enough as it is...
Without any trade wars.
Without increasing the inflation, more...
Driving the costs of food up. 

It'd be like demand outweighing supply.

Unless what? UNLESS WE PRODUCED OUR OWN FOOD.
WE DO, TO SOME DEGREE.
TO 70% AT LEAST.

OUR OWN DAIRY, ETC.

But imagine 30% less food
when it costs 30% more already.

I feel like we're heading into a big crash. 
Even a historic crash. 

Hopefully it doesn't look like the Great depression, 
but something similar could happen. 

THE MORE PEOPLE THEY BRING INTO THIS COUNTRY
THE LESS JOBS ARE GOING TO BE AROUND
FOR PEOPLE ALREADY HERE.

AND IT SEEMS THAT THE ONLY REAL BENEFITS
ARE GOVERNMENT JOBS.

AND OVER HERE, BILINGUALISM IS PREFERRED.

SO PEOPLE GET PIGEON HOLED.
IF THEY CAN GET THE WORK. 

AND IT SEEMS CERTAIN PEOPLE
PRIORITIZE CERTAIN PEOPLE.

HIRING INTERNALLY ETC.
HIRING THROUGH CONNECTIONS, TOO. 

AND MINIMUM WAGE ISN'T ENOUGH.
IT HASN'T RISEN LIKE THE COST OF LIVING. 

THE JOB MARKET IS A BS RAT RACE.

Anyway, supposedly interests rates on loans dropped.
Connected to the level of unemployment rising. 

Something like that.

IT'S LIKE THEY WANT MORE PEOPLE
TO GET INTO EVEN MORE DEBT.

HOW IS THAT SUPPOSED TO FIX THE ECONOMY?
PEOPLE AREN'T SPENDING
WHAT THEY DON'T F*CKING HAVE.

AND WHAT THEY DO HAVE...
THEY CAN BARELY AFFORD TO SPEND
BECAUSE IT GOES STRAIGHT TO HOUSING ETC.
BILLS ETC.

WTF IS SUPPOSED TO BE LEFT OVER?

BUT LETS SAVE 10 CENTS ON A BAG OF CHIPS.
AND THE $250 TO CANADIAN WORKERS
THAT'S ONLY SUPPOSED TO PUSH US
4.5 BILLION INTO DEBT. 

IT'S A SAD, F*CKED UP STATE OF AFFAIRS.

AND CANADA'S BEEN PAYING FOR STUFF
IN OTHER COUNTRIES.
NOT IN OURS, BUT ABROAD.

ALL THE GOVERNMENT KEEPS DOING
IS KEEPS P*SSING PEOPLE OFF
AND IS EMBARRASSING US.
AS A COUNTRY. 

THAT'S IT.

THEY COULD STOP SPENDING
ON THINGS WE DO NOT NEED
AND FOCUS ON THE BIGGEST ISSUES.

But too busy having a "vibe session."
And announcing 2 month tax breaks.

TOO BUSY TRYING TO BUY VOTES.

THAN ADDRESS THE ISSUES AT HAND.
IF THEY WON'T, LET SOMEONE ELSE.
FOR US. FFS.

Economy > Ego-fest.

VIBE ON THAT YA BS LIBS.

And listen to them say "the world's economy."
No. OUR economy. AS A COUNTRY.

THE ONE YOU AND YOUR FINANCE DEPARTMENT
HAS BEEN RUNNING INTO THE GROUND.

SHOVING MONEY AROUND.
BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WTF TO DO WITH IT.

PUT THE MONEY TOWARDS THINGS
THAT ACTUALLY HELP PEOPLE.

NOT JUST A TAX BREAK
FOR PEOPLE WHO BUY BEER AND CHIPS FFS.

JUST FOR 2 MONTHS, THOUGH. 2 MONTHS!
WILL THE POSTAL STRIKE BE OVER
IN TWO MONTHS?

Or will they get laid off or fired before
being allowed to return to their jobs?

And who's next for a strike?
How long will it take to negotiate?

AND WHAT ABOUT PASSING SOME LAWS
ABOUT WORKERS RIGHTS?

SINCE YOU CAN MAKE MANDATES ETC.
PASS BILLS ETC.

WHAT WOULD BENEFIT CANADIANS THE MOST?
THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW.

BECAUSE DO THEY LIVE WITHIN THE MEANS
OF THE AVERAGE CANADIAN?

JT INCREASED HIS OWN SALARY.
MUST HAVE BEEN NICE.
TO JUST DO THAT.

AND WHAT ABOUT THE HOLIDAY BONUSES
GOING AROUND RIGHT ABOUT NOW?

HOW GENEROUS ARE THEY GOING TO BE IN 2024?

I can't see them continuing work on the O-Train during winter.
There's usually two seasons here:
Winter and construction. 

Freaking windy today. 
I barely slept last night, if at all. 

I can go to bed early, tonight, if I want to.
Probably not very likely, but still an option. 

Thought about finding a movie tonight.
And working on finishing the 70s squares thing.
And a couple other things to bring. 
Just to get it out of here.

During the break the group has for the holidays, 
I'll at least have a few things for the meeting
after the next one.

The next one is the potluck thing. 

During the break, I want to focus on some stuff.
There's a Valentine's Day craft show thing
coming up in February...

It'd be alright if I could make some things for that.
And make a deal with a vendor to sell them for me.

Other than that, socks, hats, balaclavas.
I'm going to try the hooded one.

But I'm probably going to make some
like the ones I already made.

And I want to make one for myself. 
I want to make a few things for myself. 

I like making something for myself for my birthday. 
Last year, I didn't. 

I meant, this year, but last year I didn't either.

I've got some blue mohair stuff, 
not sure what I'm going to do with it, 
but I also have that fabric that I got.

I've got a variety. To keep me busy.
No shortage of what I can make.
No shortage of supply. 

So, there's that. I guess.
