Just To Clear It Up

I don't often write about 'religion' stuff.
Even POLITICS ARE A SLIPPERY SLOPE.

Yes, I used to go to Church when I was a kid.
In my teen years, I went less and less.

The Church I went to is Anglican.
I was raised Anglican.
Although we had Shrove Tuesday Dinner
and Passover stuff.

For Shrove Tuesday we had "pancake dinner."
My Grandfather loved it, he'd be flipping flapjacks etc.

I have pictures of him in his apron.

I'm not 'religious', it was mostly for my Grandparents.
They came to pick us up for Church every Sunday.

Mom couldn't stand staying for the sermon
so she'd try to go outside for a smoke break.
The Church was close to the canal
and we brought bread for the ducks
when I was really young
and she used the fact that I was that young
as an excuse to take me outside
during the sermon.

But we also had Sunday School.
Where we did coloring and had parables +
When the sermon was over, 
we were allowed to go back upstairs.

My Grandfather had a saying he said
at the end of the service
for the congregation.

My Grandfather took Theology before he passed away.
He died before he got his passing grade.

He, and his father were both Freemasons.
Of course, I wanted to know about it,
but he always told me he wasn't allowed to talk about it.

There's even a Chinese Freemasons branch I saw once.
In Chinatown.
I didn't think China had anything to do with the Freemasons.
It's out in the open, passed it many times
not knowing what it was.
Then a guy I was chilling with pointed it out.

But I do know there's a grand lodge in Scotland.
It'd be cool to go to Scotland one day.
I've been holding onto a picture of a Scottish castle.
I don't know why, but I've had it for years.

Also, there's a store that sells a lot of cool stuff.
They have huge boxes of patches.

Could spend hours just going through them.

I picked up patches from there a long time ago.
Patches of bands and stuff like that.
And flags.
I found one, the flag of Scotland.

THOSE PROTESTERS WOULD NEVER DARE
TO GO TO SCOTLAND AND BURN THEIR FLAG!

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THEY EVEN TRIED?
I'D IMAGINE THEY'D GET A BAGPIPE 
FIRMLY AND UNCEREMONIOUSLY INSERTED
SOMEWHERE THEY WOULDN'T WANT IT TO BE.

AND THEY WOULDN'T THINK ABOUT DOING IT AGAIN!

I saw someone playing Thunder Struck on a bagpipe!
Don't mess with the Scots!

Just saying they wouldn't go to Scotland to do this sh*t.
BECAUSE WHY? THEY WOULDN'T TOLERATE IT.

THEY'D BE LIKE "YUP, THEY NEED TO GO."
AND OUT THEY'D GO!
THEY WOULDN'T MINCE
ANYTHING ABOUT IT, EITHER.
SO WHY ARE WE?

BUT IN CANADA, WE HAVE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS
WE CAN ACCUSE PEOPLE OF CIRCUMVENTING
OR WHATEVER THE EXCUSE THE GOVERNMENT
IS TRYING TO USE TO EXCUSE THEMSELVES FROM
DOING WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING.

Since there's 'speculation' on what the Speaker said about it,
HE SHOULD MAKE HIMSELF CLEAR
IN OUTLINING WHAT HE EXPECTS THE LIBS TO DO.
AND HOLD THEM IN CONTEMPT
UNTIL THEY ACTUALLY DO IT.


I'm saying that if everything came out...
There'd probably be some outrage.

Even when the new PM takes office,
it'd take more than 20 YEARS
TO START DIGGING OURSELVES OUT OF IT.

People are already getting dinged for things they post on FB.
In Canada, we can't share anything from the news on FB.

THEY JUST HIRE WHO THEY WANT TO HIRE.

AND TRY TO SHUT PEOPLE UP
FOR THEIR OPOSING VIEWS.

UNLESS THEY WANT THEIR VOTES, THOUGH.

We have a right to be OFFENDED.
ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND HAVE DONE.
WANTING US TO BE QUIET ABOUT IT IS SAYING:
ONLY WE CAN SAY WHAT WE WANT TO.
IF YOU DON'T AGREE WITH US
AND AREN'T PUTTING OUT WHAT WE WANT YOU TO...

FOR DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY
BUT WANTS TO THROW GOOD MONEY OVER BAD

Our defense has been the worst in 60 years
and it's not due to the people who are doing their BEST
with what they're allowed to have ffs.

Like what does it have to take before they REALIZE
YEAH, THIS SHOULD BE A PRIORITY.

IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE 2% OF GDP.
TO NATO!!!

What do they expect to happen?
Do they think RCMP is just going to take over?

OR WILL THEY WAKE UP WHEN IT'S OUR COUNTRY
THAT NEEDS THE EQUIPMENT WE SHOULD 
ALREADY HAVE?

Canada's being looked at as a JOKE!!!!!
AND THEY SEEM TO BE OBLIVIOUS.
AND WANT US ALL TO BE.

Our rep as a country!!! 

They are saying we'll get to 2% of GDP
BY 2032!!!!

ALL THE TAX MONEY THAT WAS SENT
ABROAD, AND MISMANAGED...
COULD HAVE BEEN PUT IN SOME SORT OF "FUND"
THAT WOULD GROW ITSELF TO FIX WHAT IT NEEDED TO.

But you know what they accuse of the Conservatives of doing?
CUTTING EVERYTHING.

WHAT DID THEY DO TO OUR NATIONAL DEFENSE THOUGH?
HOW MUCH DID THEY CUT?

HOW MUCH IS THE CARBON TAX GOING TO RUN 
US RIGHT INTO THE GROUND?

I could go on and on about it.
BUT WHAT IF I DO?

WILL COPS SHOW UP AT MY DOOR
FOR JUST TYPING MY THOUGHTS ON IT?
