Gambling and The Cottage

I went to the casino with my boyfriend for the buffet.
There is a race track there, too. We saw a couple races.
We didn't bet on them, though. Maybe one day.
He's more into black jack than the slots.
I keep thinking about that man who lit himself on fire in the parking lot.
It was years ago, but I still think about it.
I keep thinking that he most have lost a fortune to even think about doing it.
People tried to save him, but he died.
I think they managed to extinguish him, but he died from his injuries.
We were there for a few hours, but some people spend all day there.
The ones with serious gambling addictions.
The ones who do win sometimes, but lose more than they win.
They see other people winning and keep wanting to keep going
even when they don't win themselves.
I used to go at least once a month with my Grandmother and my mother.
My Grandmother used to go quite frequently.
After she sold her house and the cottage.
She got ripped off for the cottage. She sold it to her lawyer,
who turned around and sold it for $100,000 more than what she paid for it.
I really wish we could have kept it in the family.
I miss going there and my son never got to see it.
Most of my happy childhood memories were at the cottage.
It was just a small bungalo type building my grandfather built with his father.
Two bedrooms, a dining room, a kitchen, a living room, a tiny bathroom.
There was no bathtub or shower in there. Only a sink and a toilet.
A small black and white t.v, a radio, a vcr, and an 8-track player.
No cable for the t.v. There were only 3 or so channels.
So we watched movies mostly. Or just went outside to play.
There was a shed full of stuff to play with.
My favourites were the hammock, the dingy, the badminton rackets.
My Grandfather built a board thing that had holes in it.
We set it up on the lawn and tried to toss bean bags through the holes.
Each hole had a number above it for points when you got it in the hole.
I'll have to upload some pictures of the place.
I have photographs, but I have to get them scanned or something.
Tomorrow is a busy day. Going back to work tomorrow.
I'm tired, but I have some work to do here.
I don't want to do any of it. Getting so tired from working.
But there are some projects that need to get finished.

I love Pinterest. I really do, however...
I have so many projects that are already started that I have to finish
before I start anything else. There are so many things I want to make!
Probably won't get to make them all.
Also hard to decide what ones I want to make more than others.
Tough choices.

Anyway, may as well work on something tonight.
A few hours won't kill me.
