With the right kind of motivation, people are capable of pretty much anything.
I have to admit, I get lazy sometimes when it comes to cleaning.
It's not that I never clean, it's that I don't do it as often as some people.
Some people are at an extreme with their cleaning regiments.
I sometimes watch a show called "Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners."
Someone with Obsessive Compulsive Cleaning habits
goes to someone's house (who is opposite to them)
and gets it 'up to snuff.' Kind of like hoarders, but different.
Well, for one thing, the OCD cleaning show is from the U.K.
Hoarders is an American show. Should have a Canadian version.
...But the government had to can our Canadian broadcasting.
So I guess we won't be having any Canadian versions of anything.
At least until the government wants us to. Which could be never.
Anyway, shows like Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners and Hoarders
is enough motivation for me to go do some cleaning.
What I lack is energy, mostly. And it would be nice to have some help.
What makes me so mad is being up, cleaning, working my butt off
while someone else who could be and should be helping, isn't.
What makes me mad, too, is when someone tries getting out of doing something
just because they don't want to do it.
Just because you don't want to do it
doesn't mean someone else should do it for you.
And it definitely doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.
Laziness is a really huge turn off.
I can be lazy, but I do things. Even when I don't want to do them.
Because they still need to be done.
And if I don't do them, nobody does them for me.
And if I had someone to at least help me, it would make me happier.
Even if they weren't much help. Wanting to help is all that matters.
Instead of sitting around while someone else is working their butt off.
It's a sore spot for me. Working while someone is lazing.
But how to say: "Get up off your arse and help me, please."
Without getting a sore reaction from the lazing person?
Sometimes the laziest people can be the most sensitive about their laziness.
Seeing someone else working hard at chores isn't enough motivation.
"You live here, too." Doesn't work, either.
"It's not fair that I... And you don't." just starts a competitive argument.
It's that some people are too used to having someone else do those things.
For them or despite them. Never had to do any of it for themselves.
It just burns me up. It really does.
Sure there is a time to relax, and be lazy, but there are times that
EVERYONE needs to pitch in and do their share of the work.
Not sit around while one person does it all. I hate it.
Anyway, that is my little rant for tonight.
