Things Could Be Worse

This morning there was a fire across the street. There were about 8 fire trucks there and four police cruisers. The firemen were chopping a hole in the roof to put the fire out. Part of the street was taped off.

When I think about my situations, I have to think that things could be worse. My apartment didn't catch on fire, I still have my belongings and a roof over my head.

I stayed up late last night writing poems. I couldn't sleep. When I get into poetry mood it is hard to stop writing. I don't have much to say right now. Just wanted to talk about the fire.

Kanye West unscripted
If you watched the Hurricane Katrina concert last night, you probably saw an emotional moment from singer Kanye West.

learning about a fire in your hood while you are away is kinda disturbing. I can't help but feel glad that it's not my house (I'm on the other side of woodridge) Though I feel bad for the people..hopefully noone was hurt.

Nobody was hurt. It is a good thing. Some people got to go back into the building and they patched up the roof. It still smells like hotdogs though.

I was BBQ'ing again .. that's why you smelt hot dogs ..

In all seriousness, it's nice to know they didn't lose their home.
