Killer Tomatoes and Baby Stitches

I know that my cat died because he was chewing on a tomato stem and poisoned himself. Tomatoes themselves were thought to be poisonous because the plants on which they grow are poisonous. This is something that I didn't think was possible: Tomato seeds will actually start to grow inside tomatoes! I discovered this one day when I was making a tomato sandwhich. I cut the tomato open and realized that the seeds had sprouted. I had to take all the seeds out and the basic insides out which didn't leave a lot of substance for the sandwhich, but better safe than sorry. Just wanted to say that people should be careful and inspect such a fruit before eating it.

Same with inspecting the expiry date on a milk carton before you buy it. I went to the store last night to buy a carton of chocolate milk. When I got it home, I poured myself a glass and took a sip. I thought it tasted a little off so I looked at the expiry date and realized that it was 2 hours away from unsellable. I have the worst luck with milk and milkshakes. I once drank a milkshake and it was fine (I thought) until I got to the bottom and got a mouthful of chunks. It was nasty. It just goes to show you that you can't trust anyone to sell you fresh milk anymore. It is very sad.

On Sundays I get to sleep in because my son's father will get the baby up and feed him his breakfast. This morning, I woke up and Daniel was bleeding from his mouth. What happened was that he was having a great time dancing to a Wiggles song and he fell and bit his lip. His bottom lip got caught between his two top front teeth, causing his lip to split open. There was a lot of blood and he had to go to the hospital. His father took him.

Daniel was getting restless waiting for the doctor and his dad told him that he couldn't leave until the doctor came so Daniel stood in the doorway of the room calling for the doctor. I thought that was funny and cute. He was a good boy though when his dad had to hold something to his lip for about 20 minutes to numb it before he got his stitches and while he got his stitches. He had to get 3 stitches. His lip is swollen, poor guy. The doctor commented on how good he was, that he didn't even struggle when he was getting the stitches. He didn't even cry! He was glad to see the doctor. He was like: "Hi doctor!" It was really cute. I hope his lip heals properly or else we will have to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon. At least he is still young and scars fade when people get older. At least it will be a story he can tell his kids one day. Especially when they are bouncing around and need to settle down.
