So I decided that today was going to be my first time
that I took my guitar out in public and played in public.
It was scary at first, but after a couple of hours, it was okay.
Nobody said anything negative towards me.
A lady gave me some chocolates and someone gave me a dollar
before I even started playing! Little did he know it was my first guitar dollar.
All in all, I got $5.75. Which is better than nothing
and it was for the experience itself.
Now I can say that I've played in public.
And it didn't go badly at all. It was nice. Cold, but nice.
The bus driver on the way there was really nice
and I was fortunate to get him on the way back, too.
That rarely happens to me. Getting the same driver both ways.
He even asked me how it went.
It went pretty well, but I need loads more practice
and I'm waiting for it to warm up more.
Thinking about bringing my guitar with me to Niagara,
but I don't want to lose it on the way there or on the way back.
It's the only guitar I have and it was my father's guitar.
The only thing I have of my father's. I'm lucky to have it.
I'm getting some chest pain a bit. Probably because I didn't eat very much.
My heart is in bad shape, I know this,
but I also know that they will not help me out at the hospital,
so I have to try to take it easy, I guess. And try to eat more.
Also, it is probably not a good idea to be drinking coffee or tea.
A lady stopped by the corner to drop me a dollar and give me a compliment,
she also gave me a little flyer thing about a free spirituality lecture thing.
I think it is a sign that I should go to it. It's free! Why not?
Had I not been there, I wouldn't have crossed path with her.
On the way there, I saw 217 after the bus driver was asking about my guitar.
I also saw a 333 today, too. I see 333 almost every day.
I saw a 777 on a taxi driving by. It was the number of the taxi.
Been seeing a lot of 555, too.
Anyway, I feel a lot better than I felt yesterday.
I think some of it was hormones and probably sleep deprivation.
But that $5 wasn't all that bad for a little bit of encouragement.
And it was literally to face the fear I had of playing in public.
Before I started, I was shaking and stuff. Nerves.
But as I played, it wasn't all that bad.
The driver suggested a couple of spots for me to play.
I think the summer will be great, warmer, nicer.
Winter is okay, but my fingers were getting cold and my feet
so I just called it a day and packed up my guitar.
I'll do it again sometime, but I definitely need more practice.
It was a good feeling to finally get over the fear of doing it.
Have to do it just to get over that initial anxiety, that fear.
Besides, if I get better, I won't be as nervous anyway.
It was literally my first time playing in public.
Maybe I should make it a weekly thing. My Saturday thing.
If I have no other plans, of course.
So now I have a Tuesday thing, a Thursday thing,
and a Saturday thing. Maybe I'll have a thing for each day of the week.
As it is, I'll be allowed to be in the program and I'll have that
Five days a week. So 20 hours a week for 5 months.
So now networking videos. I'm learning about IP addresses and subnet masks.
Still like a foreign language to me, but it'll be like this
until it clicks and finally starts making sense.
Plus some cooking videos couldn't hurt either.
