Lately, it's been about working. Trying to get certain other things done.
Soon, things will change and slow down.
Closer to how they used to be, only better.
Today was a pretty good day.
A lot better than yesterday.
Yesterday was terrible.
I was making a copy of my paycheck.
Then I faxed a copy of it.
Then I accidentally walked away without it.
I finally realized when I got to the bank to deposit it.
So now I have to try to get it on Monday.
There is some other stuff I need to do on Monday.
Some on Tuesday.
But Tuesday will be a good day.
It's my boyfriend's birthday Tuesday.
We are going out for lunch and then we go to work.
Then after work we will go see a movie.
Tomorrow we are going to my folks' place.
They are making a dinner and a cake.
Since we have to work on his actual birthday.
He surprised me with flowers a couple of days ago.
Today we went to the cupcake lounge,
Then we went to Dow's Lake and had nachos.
Then we went to get dessert at one of our favorite places in Little Italy.
Then we sat on a bench in the arboretum
watching the lightning strikes.
We left right before it started to rain.
He misses the rain. Being from Vancouver.
It rains a lot in Vancouver. It hasn't rained much this spring or summer.
It's been more like a drought.
Record breaking dry season this year.
Lowest rainfall since 1959.
Been humid here. Very. Makes conditions at work suck.
Which is one thing I will not miss from that place.
The worst is cleaning the elevators. Heat gets trapped in there.
Also, I hate cleaning the edges of the doors.
I keep getting scared of the doors closing on me. It happens.
Earlier, my boyfriend and I were talking about the possibility
of getting hit by lightning.
In Canada, there are about 10 lightning deaths per year.
90 percent of the lightning strike deaths
are in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.
My boyfriend says this video is fake.
Because of how the guy keeps getting back up.
I think it could be real. I'd be disappointed if it was fake.
