I knew why I shouldn't have voted for the reds... Because the deficit was going to be in the red. The three highest Canadian deficits in history have been from the Liberals. Why? Because they spend money on everything and increase taxes.
I just had a conversation about voting and the Liberals about 5 minutes ago and I just had to come and write this stuff down. He said that all the unions voted for the Liberals because the Libs were the only ones who were going to give them any money. The teachers voted for them, too. The new Premiere of Ontario used to be a teacher, so she secretly gave them what they were asking for last time they went on strike. So guess what? They'll go on strike again because now they'll want more. She also wants to hire more teachers. Also, she's giving the O.P.P a 8% raise which will make them the highest paid police force in Canada. Then, there'll be an arbitration which will match that raise for the municipal police forces in Ontario.
Do you really think that Toronto cops need a raise? I mean, yeah, policing is dangerous and all of that... They're here to serve and protect. But do you remember this? The kid got shot not once, not twice, but 9 times! Oh, and in case that didn't kill him, he was tased, too. And of course a few bad apples always ruin it for the rest. But they give idiots like that guy a raise... To shoot and taze more kids. National disgrace is what that is right there. But no, apparently they NEED more money.
Do you remember this? People DIED because of it. It wasn't the Liberals per se, but they supported the unions who were responsible for that. She did day that cutbacks have consequences... And the Liberals were in power then, they should have had better standards and enforced them.

The Gun Registry, E-Health, The helicopters, cancellation after cancellation when the cancellations were costing MORE than it would have costed had they not been cancelled. The damn gun registry was a f*cking joke! You really think criminals are going to register their guns? Did you see any Bloods or Crips in line to register? The only good thing was the gun amnesties. To get the guns off the streets. Canada doesn't have as much of a gun problem as the United States. The gun registry was another excuse to spend money. Just convince the people that it's a GOOD thing and they can get away with anything. Someone has to govern the government. There's zero accountability. ZE--F*CKING--RO.
People tend to look the other way and 'forget' about the scandals... Especially if it means more money in their pockets. Then they get mad when another scandal happens. Well they have no right to be mad now, not if they voted for them. They should have been expecting more of the same.
So THAT is why the Liberals won the damn election. Already agreeing to spend money BEFORE even getting elected, TO GET elected. Bastards. Oh, and guess what else? They are going to raise gas 10 cents more. So bus fare will probably get increased AGAIN. Bus fare in Ottawa is already the highest in the country. All that money is supposed to be going to Toronto. We won't see one dime of it anywhere else in Ontario. Another reason why is ROB FORD. This will be the ONLY time I'm mentioning him on my blog. THE ONLY time. Because of that whole crack thing and his drunken foolishness... That probably costed the Conservatives the election. People are sick of his sh*t and wanted him OUT. So why would they vote for his party? The party who didn't force him to resign? People laugh at Canada now. Oh, the only country where a crackhead can still be mayor of a major Canadian city. Embarrass them, and still be allowed to keep his job. That Canada. Not that I voted for them this year, either. Not just because of that. I knew we'd be screwed if either party won. They can be just as bad at times.
Wake the f*ck up people. They are being supported for PAYOUTS. Plain and simple. The greedy only want MORE AND MORE. The next 4 years in Ontario are going to be HELL for those who aren't in UNIONS, who aren't TEACHERS, or COPS. What about average families who now have to pay more taxes when they can barely afford the standard of living NOW? Where will they be in the next 4 years? Ask yourselves what kind of deficit we're going to have provincial wide. Ask yourselves where all the money is going to be coming from... Job cuts? Cuts to services for the poor? Increased taxes? What other tricks have they got up their sleeves? Ask yourselves if there is any truth to those attack ads. That's 10 years of mismanagement already. What are we going to see over the next 4 years? What are they going to be apologizing for next? Ontario used to be a 'have' province. We had so much money, we were giving it to other provinces. I think all of that is about to change now.

This election was all about bad choices...The PCs had a terrible plan which made no sense whatsoever and backed by bad math, The liberals are basically crooks asking us to trust them with more of our money. The NDP had a plan that made a little sense in some things but there's little point in voting for them since they wouldn't win a seat except for a few places. The Green Party had a pretty good plan as well but it's the same issue as with the NDP. You could vote for them but they're not getting in so you're essentially wasting your vote. So, In my opinion, what happened was that the PC plan was so bad that people voted Liberal just so that they couldn't form the government. They would rather be stolen from than follow the PC plan for Ontario. I felt the same way and voted Liberal as much as I hated to do it the PC plan was worse than being stolen from. Now if we had done the right thing a few years ago and voted for proportional representation, I would have voted for the Greens this time around. but in our current voting system, a vote for anyone other than the 2 main contenders for a riding is a wasted vote....it sucks...a lot...especially when your choices are so bad

I had a few people saying something similar to this. The only thing is, is that if more people voted for who they truly wanted to instead of one of the main two parties, maybe one of the other two parties (NDP or Green) would stand a better chance.
Like if all the 'wasted' votes were added up... I'd love to see what would happen if they did.
For sure but that is the issue with our first past the post electoral system.
