My Security company is LAME

Longest week I had in over a month! I'm glad that stint is over.

Man, what a week! I was so exhasted last night, glad I didn't have to work. I worked 48 hours in the last 4 days. I needed a break badly. I work again this weekend, which isn't as bad as working at a construction site without proper safety gear. Without safety shoes, I was looking at the possibility of the Ministry of labour coming down on me with a $350 dollar fine. Same with any other piece of equipment. My job was to lock the gate and keep it locked, let the construction guys in and out of the site, monitor two holes that are entrances into the Confederation building. And that's about it.

Why my security company are bastards:

- The pay rate is low (which didn't occur to me was the fact that the company gets paid over 20 bucks an hour for each guard and the guard gets 9 dollars an hour, cheap bastards)

-The company likes to f*ck you over on your days off by dragging you into work by threatening you with pulling your hours, even though they made the mistake: Sunday, monday, tuesday instead of what it was supposed to be monday tuesday and wednesday. Then they made me go into work by threatening me with the union.

-They don't provide proper safety equipment or send supervisors to the site

-And they didn't give me any lunch breaks!

I am really thinking about going to the union about this site. I had so many problems there with the fact that they didn't tell me the exact location of the site so I couldn't find it when I got to the vacinity. Then all that bullshit about the construction company's rules, the contractor's rules, which would have been helpful had the company I work for told me these rules before I even got there.

What really pissed me off is the fact that they f*cked up my schedule again. I told them that I needed Sunday off because I worked all weekend and I needed a break in between sites. They put me in for sunday anyway because they couldn't find anyone else. I hate that girl who does the scheduling because she always f*cks up my schedule. If it's during the week, chances are it's going to be messed up.

I was only there to lower their insurance rates. They had an RCMP post right beside the site. They didn't need me there. I wasn't doing anything important. What sucks is that I was there last night and I was nodding off. I was tired. It takes me so long to fall asleep during the day. My eyes are all saggy, it looks like I've gained 5 years in the last five days.

Word of caution: My company sucks, don't work for them! You'll hate them as much as I do!

It's not only all these screw ups, it's the disorganization that causes all the screw ups and all the headaches. Get some people with brains in there and make it a better company. They are ruining the name of the company they took over for.
