I Like Fridays

Been sick lately, took the day off yesterday. Had to come back to work. Can't take too many days off. I love holidays, except for Christmas. It's become too comercial, not about family anymore, not about giving anymore. It's unfortunate. Christmas is about the only time I go to church. I used to go every Sunday, but I don't see the point. I mean, there is too much gossip and it makes me sick, the whole thing about social circles and statuses. It's not about beliefs, or religion, it's more like a social club. I don't like that. It used to be a lot different when I was a kid. Probably because I didn't realize all of that.

Anyway, Monday is Thanksgiving Day in Canada. I do have a lot to be thankful for and everyone should count their blessings daily instead of annually. I guess that is all that I have to say about that.

Mr.G was looking out for me when he made a complaint to the boss about how I was going to have to clean the L building. Now I don't have to go outside at all or to any of the detached buildings on campus. That also means that I don't even have to take the trash out to the compactor. Isn't that great? Thanks Mr.G!

I don't know what the deal is, but I tried several times to upload some pictures I took to my blog and it's just not working. It's probably because my computer is messed up. I'm going to get it fixed. Soon, I hope! I took some pictures after work one morning, they turned out pretty good. Mostly of trees and flowers, but I got a few other ones. I took some at work too of some of the rooms that I clean. You'll get to see them when I get that program working.

In a way, I'm glad that my 'date' didn't go so well. I mean, the guy was rude right from the start which is an indication of how the rest of the evening would have gone, and also of his personality. I don't like his personality. He is pretty mouthy. I don't like guys who say rude things. I'm hoping that my next date will go much better than that, but I'm not counting on having a date any time soon. I need to start going out by myself more often, at least once a week. I have to do something just for me. I found a place I like to go and I'm going to treat myself once a week. Maybe I'll meet someone there. I'd rather meet someone in real life, than from the internet. Sure, the movie: You've Got Mail was sort of romantic, but life is just life. I stopped reading romance novels because they get depressing. Nothing in real life ever compares to those fantasies. I have fantasies that will likely never be fulfilled so I just have to day dream in my journal about them. Romance is a lost art form.

I don't have much left to do, and I'm not going to really worry about getting everything done tonight. I feel like sh*t and besides, someone will do it on Sunday, I'm pretty sure. Nobody is really going to be at school on the weekend.

I was thinking about old school t.v and movies today. I remember watching the Edison Twins. It was a good show. They should put the reruns back on t.v. It was cool. I liked how they solved mysteries through science. Another show I liked was: My Secret Identity. I also liked the Smurfs, they were awesome. Now they are on in French: "Au Secure, C'est Gargamel! Et son chat Azriel! Courir vite!" Ok, so my French sucks, big time.

A movie that scared me the first time I saw it was: The Peanut Butter Solution. I don't know what freaked me out about it. Maybe it was the creepy music. It was about a solution made of peanut butter and whatever else that would grow hair, but the hair grew uncontrolably. It was a strange movie. I haven't seen it in a long time. There are a bunch of old movies that I haven't seen in a while.

Well, my break is almost over.
Think of some old school movies and t.v shows you liked to watch.

If I'm not mistaken, the Smurfs came out in French befoe they did in English....but they came out in German first.

I could be smurfing wrong, but who would give a smurf? Honestly, I wish these smurfing mothersmurfers that send out the spam comments would go to smurf.

try Ad-Aware from Lavasoft...http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

And antivir..http://www.free-av.com/

both are free. I use them all the time to fix messed up computers. It beats a re-install of XP...

And if ya don't like that spam...I've got a couple emails about bigger (p)-(e)-(n)-(i)-(s)-(e)-(s) and (v)-(i)-(b)-(r)-(a)-(t)-(o)-(r)-(s)

but seriously..try those before you re-install
