How Many Raindrops?

I watched the rain falling outside lastnight. It has been raining a lot here. What is up with that?! I feel sorry for Nova Scotia because they are getting floods. I don't know if the floods have receeded yet, but it looked pretty bad a few days ago on the news.

There must be an infinate number of raindrops. They fall so rapidly.... Just think of how many individual drops of rain fall in a square inch. Then multiply that by the distance of the storm! I was thinking the other day that I have not seen a worm actually come out of the ground. Do they come out when nobody is looking? Or do you have to reach a certain level to see them break the earth? Someone should do a documentary on worms. They are a misunderstood creature. Sure they are slimy, but they need the film to breathe like we need lungs. Osmosis.

If I was a bird I'd go get the worms in the rain. Why don't the birds go out in the rain? Is it because the birds can't fly when their feathers are wet?

I have wondered about the miracle of aviation, of flight. I sometimes have dreams that I can fly. It would be an amazing feeling of exhileration. I like to watch birds fly. I wish I could fly. I think that most people would get sick to their stomachs to be that weightless, defying gravity and its rules. Oh, what it would be like to break all the rules! Wouldn't that be freedom? Or is freedom defined by whom makes the rules? Why are we even confined by rules? Is it because we fear that self control would cease to exist? I suppose most rules are necessary, except that birds can fly and that we can't. Who made that rule? Was that rule made by someone who has ever flown? I doubt I will ever fly, I mean in an airplane. I have never been on a plane before. I wonder how many peanuts they give away to passengers. Maybe peanuts are as infinate as raindrops.
