Raven's Blanket

There was a lady who used to go to the same church as my family.
Her name is Raven. When she was 5 she lost her hand in a boating accident.
Somehow, she's been able to learn how to knit and she is amazing at it.
It's quite a feat as there are two needles used for knitting.
I have a scarf she made for a church raffle, that I won.
It's really long and soft. Made with mohair. Which is an expensive wool.

Raven made a blanket for my Grandmother many years ago.
I got this blanket from my Aunt today. It has holes in it and I hope I can fix it.
It will be a task and a half since I don't know how to repair knitting.
I'm not sure how it will turn out since I don't think I can match those colors.
It will be a project for me, for sure. On top of that website project I already have.
There are some crochet projects I have going, too,
but haven't been working on those lately.

Plus, I start a new job tomorrow. I've got to leave by 4pm to get there for 6pm.
Then I work until 9pm. Monday to Friday.
Then, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, I work from 9pm-12am.
We are supposed to be done by 11:30pm,
but we are rarely ever done on time. It is easy stuff,
but too much for the time we are given to do it.

Right now, I have lasagna cooking in the slowcooker.
It takes like 4 hours to cook in there, but it's a 'set it and forget it' thing.
By the time my boyfriend is finished work, it will be ready.
And he won't have to cook anything.
I've already finished most of the dishes, too.
The only things to wash are the slow cooker pots themselves,
the plates we will use, and cutlery we will use, and cups.
I hate doing dishes. I really do. But, I'm better at it now
because my job is washing dishes and cleaning bathrooms.
Tomorrow I start training on my new job and hopefully it will be temporary.
I agreed to work there for a couple of months to see how it goes.
The hours kind of suck, and I won't get to play tv bingo for a while.
Not that I play that all the time. Only maybe once a month.
I just like having the option to do things and go places.
Maybe it will work out, maybe not.
That is why I only agreed to a couple months.
Going from working once a week, to not working,
then working 3 days a week, to working 5 days a week.
Change can be good, but it can take some getting used to.
I guess I'll see what happens.

At the dollar store you can get slow cooker bags. These are little plastic bags that fit into your slow cooker and make it much easier to wash.

Thanks, Sean. I have a smaller sized slowcooker so these bags might not fit into it.
