So today has been rainy. We stayed in. Also, my allergy medication makes me drowsy. But... At least it helps me breathe. So there's that. Haha.
Tonight, I'm just staying home. I'm crocheting. I have a lot of work to catch up on. Also, I want to try some new patterns.
I work tomorrow afternoon and it's just going to be me there. The night crew doesn't start until I'm finishing. So the lady who has my section won't have a lot of work to do, just the offices.
School officially starts on Tuesday. Always the day after Labor Day. I'm getting paid extra because it's a holiday. So I can't complain about that.
I still haven't made any specific plans for my trip and I leave in about a week. I'm excited, but also nervous. Not sure why. Maybe anxious.
The day before I leave for my trip, one of my friends invited me to a birthday party. I'm excited about that. Not often I get invited to any parties. It'll be my first party in sobriety, but I think I'll do alright. Perfect timing too because I leave the next day.
I got a surprise message from a girl who's son went to school with my son. She used to live in a building down the street from here. Was surprised to hear from her. Was a nice surprise. It's nice to be remembered.
Today is a friend's birthday. He encourages me to knit and crochet. He said that if I make 100 hats we could go into business selling them. It just takes a long time to make 100 hats. Even if I made 1 every day, that's still 100 days! A bit over 3 months, I think. Or 3 and a half months! Yikes! I don't want to spend every waking moment crocheting. Or knitting. Plus, I make gifts for Christmas and birthdays. So that's even more work. But anyway, the idea is there. Incentive, I guess.
I'm looking forward to getting out of town for a few days. It will be nice to get away for a little while. I hope to see some of my family when I get down there, too. That would be even more special. Anyway, I'm going to find a movie to watch while I'm crocheting.
