When you get hurt so many times by people and you finally realize that you just should stop caring because they obviously take you for granted... The minute you decide to stop caring is when they decide to start caring... Like someone who has been pushing me away for a while has started trying to get on my good side. Well, I think it is a bit too late for that. There is only so much being nice and being patient that I can dish out. I'll still be nice, but I'm not waiting anymore. I'm done waiting. I shouldn't have to wait for someone to start caring or showing they care. You know why?
Because:
1) If you don't choose me, you loose me!
2) If someone really wants you in their lives they would make the effort!
There are probably more reasons why, but those are the top 2 I can think of.
I so deserve better, anyway. I tried, I cared. That was enough. Enough is enough. There is a difference between giving up and knowing you have had enough. A big difference. The difference being that everyone can only take so much and when you can't take any more you shouldn't force yourself to keep taking it and taking it.
Maybe people will start realizing these things too. Maybe over time they will see that I'm not the same girl I once was. The old Abby is done giving a crap. The new Abby doesn't give a crap. Abby used to give too much of a crap and Abby was getting nowhere with anybody. So you want to play games? Well I just won't play your games... Have fun playing your games by yourself. As my mother would say: "Homie don't play that!"
