I got a call the other day to go pick up my tax return papers and stuff. It was early in the morning, but I went. When I got off the bus, there was an old man walking down the street. I thought nothing of it. I was in a hurry so I passed him. He noticed me and he was asking me: "Are you alone?" and saying, "Hey come talk to me for two minutes." Asking me: "Where are you going?" Told me his name. Kept saying: "I can help you! Do you need anything?" He was totally creeping me out. So I tried to get away from him. I knew what this was all about. He obviously thought I was a hooker. I was in Vanier. There are a lot of hookers out there. Just because I'm a chick walking around Vanier, doesn't make me a hooker.
Anyway, I left and he saw where I was going. He kept saying, "What are you doing after?" And: "Hey! I'm going there too!" I don't know if he really was but I think he just was trying to wear me down or something. He waited there, in the waiting room. It's a small place. I wanted to leave without him noticing, but as soon as the door opens, an alarm goes off. A chime thing. So he knew I was leaving. That got him started again. I just kept saying "No!" to him as I was hurrying down the stairs and out the door.
He asked me as I was leaving: "You don't want to make anything?" I knew he was trying to offer me money for 'services'. Maybe hookers jump on any opportunity to make money, but not me.
I kept looking over my shoulder as I made it to the main street. Luckily I didn't see him after that. Also, my bus came and I rushed onto it and away from there.
It reminded me of a show I was watching recently. It's called: "What Would You Do?"
In that show they have different scenarios and they get people's honest reactions to messed up situations. It makes me cry when I see strangers standing up for people they don't know. It's a beautiful thing to see.
Anyway, the episode it reminded me of was about a kid at a park and the actor tries luring the child actor away from the park. It shows parents stepping in to stop the pervert from taking the kid.
I'll put it here:
