Remember ALF? I can't believe it started in 1986. I was only two years old. It was on for 4 years. I remember having ALF pajamas when I was about 7 years old. I remember watching ALF before I went to bed. I had a bedtime of about 8:00. I remember that because it was my bedtime around the time Unsolved Mysteries came on TV. To be honest, the theme song was creepy to me and I had to stay awake until the show was over to try to sleep. Then Rescue 911 came on TV right after Unsolved Mysteries and I had to stay awake until that show was over, too, for the same reason. The creepy music kept me awake. Well Unsolved Mysteries had the spooky music and then Rescue 911 had the trauma-drama music.
Anyways, I started watching ALF with my son today. He really gets a kick out of the show. Just like I did when I was a kid. I love that I can share that experience with him. What I found out about the show, that I didn't know, is: The music is by ALF CLAUSEN (who everyone knows from The SIMPSONS). Cool, eh? I thought so! He did some music for Ferris Bueller's Day Off. (I didn't know that either).
I had a good night tonight. My son and I played checkers and cards too. He taught me a card game he learned at camp. It was pretty fun.
A show I recently discovered is called: World's Worst Tenants. I guess you can say that it makes you think twice about wanting to be a landlord. Even if it is good money (since rent is freaking expensive in Ottawa, I'd hate to see it get any higher and it probably will eventually).
I'm giving the paranormal stuff a break for now. It still interests me, quite a bit, but I'm learning about spirituality right now. The other spirits can wait while I learn to boost my own.
Can't say I have any news right now, but I might eventually. I'm going to that spirituality group again tomorrow night. I'm excited about it. They laugh at me when I raise my hand when I have something to say. I'd rather do that, then interrupt. Since being taught to wait my turn to speak, I can't just jump in whenever. Plus, I'm at least letting them know that I'm waiting my turn so that I can have a turn. Hahaha. I know it's not exactly school, but I do learn things.
