I've had anxiety for a long time. I think it started after my son was born. I was in college when I first noticed it and it's been pretty bad lately.
I was wondering something so I looked it up. I was wondering if having high blood pressure could actually cause anxiety. The answer I got was that it can work both ways. Anxiety can cause high blood pressure and high blood pressure can cause anxiety.
I was also wondering about adrenaline and so I looked it up too. I found this. It says that "If the adrenal glands release an excessive amount of the hormone aldosterone, the kidneys retain salt and water and lose too much potassium, which raises blood pressure. "
I remember having high blood pressure when I was pregnant. I had a massive nose bleed once that resulted with blood clots coming out my nose and I almost passed out. I was about 7 months pregnant then.
I thought that this could be a breakthrough because I know there isn't anything to be anxious about. I don't want to be anxious all my life and if there is something I can do about it, I think that I should. I've been trying to get my heart rate down all day today. By trying to breathe deep breaths. I'm not sure what else to do. I know I should avoid caffeine when I feel like this because it gets so bad that it sometimes makes me feel like my heart is going to explode.
High blood pressure can cause blood clots and blood clots can cause strokes and heart attacks. I don't think I mentioned this before, but my son's father had a heart attack a couple of years ago and he almost died from it. He was so close to dying from that heart attack, almost 10 minutes away from dying. He was only 39 when he had his heart attack. I knew someone my age, who I went to school with, who had a heart attack from having a blood clot. The blood clot blocked an artery in his heart and prevented blood from getting to half of his heart. Actually, from getting to like two thirds of his heart. The type of heart attack that he had was called a Widow Maker. Seems macabre that they actually have names for heart attacks, eh?
