BlogTV & Stuff

I'm still working on my top-secret project. I can't tell anyone what it is or who it is for. All in due time.

Also, I'm experimenting with new techniques and new stitches. I learned a stitch called the crocodile stitch. It is called that because it has scales. It looks neat. I'm making something with that. Not sure what yet. Sometimes I start a project and I don't even know what it's going to be.

I'm going to call Causeway and see if I can talk to someone there about the group I want to start. I think teaching people how to crochet could boost my confidence. I need some confidence because I'm too shy socially. I'm a social idiot. I spend too much time alone. I've pretty much been forced into solitude at an early age. Old habits die hard.

I'm going to my mother's on Saturday for my step-father's birthday dinner. He wants to see a movie that I'm going to get for him. Other than that, I wouldn't know what to get for him. He collects Coca-cola stuff and Mickey Mouse stuff. My mom collects Winnie the Pooh stuff and Fairy stuff.

I can't really say I collect anything particular. When I was a kid, I used to collect rubber bands and I used to tie them together in a long chain. They were easy to find. I always found them around mailboxes. I always thought the mailman secretly left them for me. Teehee.

I was crocheting at the bus stop and there was a man there. He was watching me and he kept giving me the thumbs up. I guess those universally unified signs come in handy. He's deaf. I told him I'm making a rug. I have a long way to go on it before it's done. Just those secret projects and experiments have to be given their time too. I have to admit I haven't been working on the rug as much as I should have been. I could have gotten further ahead if I had been working on that more.

The knitting group that I go to, I should be going to more often, is going to be in over a week. I like going because I can get out of the house, meet some new people, check out what they are working on. Some of the things they can make is AMAZING and they knit PROFESSIONALLY. A lot of them work in or own wool stores. There are outings for the members. I haven't gotten a membership yet. I just go as a guest because the membership fee is higher than the guest fee. The membership is for a year, but I don't go to all the meetings because I forget sometimes.

I bought a new wool today. I shouldn't have, but I have never used it before and I've seen the scarfs people have made with it, they are really neat. I'll put up a picture of it when I'm done.

I know.... Lately I've either been writing about ghosts or writing about knitting. There's not a whole lot going on in my little life. I just need an inventory so I can start selling some of the stuff I make. That way I won't always be broke for weeks on end. Try explaining to a cat that she can't have treats because they come from a store. All the cat is going to hear is TREAT. I don't even think TREAT would mean anything to her if the word EAT wasn't at the end of it.

Weird stuff in the news today. Some guy mailed a severed hand and a severed foot to political addresses in Ottawa from Montreal. Maybe if the government didn't expect an arm and a leg, they wouldn't have been mailed a hand and a foot. Just sayin'...  Bad enough so many people have to live hand to mouth. Maybe they'll get a bag of teeth next time. I'm not saying that this should have happened, just that there was a reason it did, at least in someone's mind. Even if the government is too stupid to realize what the message was. Morbid satire, sorry.

That reminds me of something I heard about way before this. There was a dentist that was killing people and stealing their teeth to make dentures with. He might have gotten away with it if it weren't for a woman who got some dentures made by him was like: Hey! These look like REAL teeth! Sure enough, they were! Ewwww. Gross. I wouldn't want some stranger's teeth in my mouth. I'd rather just keep my own. Or if I had to and could afford it, I'd get work done. I have to admit, I need to make a dentist appointment. Also, a doctor's appointment. I have a few things to get checked out. It's been 4 years since I got my boobs checked. And, I have to get special cream for my ear. Eczema cream. (Speaking of cream, I remember one time my son was like 2 or so. He got into the diaper cream and had it all over his face and in his hair. He hated getting his hair washed at the time, but it was hard to get out).

I've started watching TV Shows on here: Free Internet TV Canada I found some shows I like to watch there. It has links to the sites for different stations like my favorite: A&E. My favorites aren't on anymore, at least I don't see them on TV anymore. City Confidential and American Justice. I also like the discovery channel. The Learning Channel has some interesting shows too. BlogTV can be interesting sometimes. I don't think I'll start a video blog anytime soon, but you never know. I could start a knitting video blog. Hahaha. A lot of people already do that on youtube. The thing is, it's aired LIVE from BlogTV. I think it works with Skype. Not sure. I heard about it years ago, just hadn't even really checked it out until last night. I tuned into a 'radio' type show about how WWIII is supposed to be starting soon. They were saying as soon as tomorrow. I think it already started with 9/11. But something tells me that it'll be getting worse, much worse. They were saying that Israel is sitting on nuclear weapons and all that stuff about when they were looking for weapons of mass destruction in the East and couldn't find them... It's not because there are none, they just won't give them up. It'd be like committing treason if they were all like: "Y'know, we have them, here you go." They won't hand over a gun if they knew they'd be shot in the back with it. Same goes for weapons of mass destruction.

  1. hulu.com is great for tv online but it's all geographically locked to the US. They even have ALF. You have to do a bit of work but it's possible to use it from Canada if you're using Firefox or chrome as your browser. There's a plugin you can download to make it work
