I need to get out and do something today so I'm thinking I should get some more batteries for my camera and talk a walk down to the beach. You never know, I might see new things, I might meet new people. I might get to do something fun. The sun might come out. I could bring peanuts and feed the creatures I see. Even geese will eat peanuts.
I was having a conversation with a friend yesterday about the reason human civilization has become so advanced. The answer is: Curiousity.
He explained that there are two types of curiousity. There is the type that primates have and there is the type that predators have. Humans have both. I've thought about evolution and the theory that we came from monkeys is weird. I still think that they are a separate species or there would be monkeys turning into humans every day. Right?
There is really no clear-cut explanation of how we got here. I mean life on earth and no other planet? There has to be another planet out there with life, some form of life. When I think about the universe and how huge it is... My head starts to hurt because I try to think about everything in the universe.
I think that it was luck that people ended up in space. Yes, science had a lot to do with it, but what I mean is that it's weird how everything seemed to really advance to that point. Over hundreds of years. Did the geniuses of the past like Da Vinci or other philosophers see this coming? Did they die with secrets that could have greatly impacted humanity? I'm sure there are worldly secrets out there that may have died when their keepers died.
I wonder how much (percentage) of the brain the average person uses. Is there a way to turn the rest of the brain on? Like a switch? I've wondered about the powers of the mind. Like psychics or telepathy. I've wondered about mind over matter like bending a spoon with concentration alone. Super powers. I wish I had super powers to lift something without touching it. It would make cleaning up much easier. Wouldn't it?
