Words Can Say and Do So Much

I've been getting lots of emails lately. None from the dating site, but that isn't how I'm going to meet the right person for me... I open up my emails like birthday presents. It's always a good surprise. Each and every one. Words can really say so much about a person to another. I got an email from an international visitor to my blog who got extra credit because I commented on his blog. That is really cool. It's funny how something that takes so little time and effort can affect the life of a total stranger, but it is neat.

I've received an invitation to some read poems.
They have inspired me to write some of my own.

Discovery

I think I might

take a walk outside tonight

to see what I can find.

All the things that I wish to say

Just float inside my mind.

I wish I could say

Exactly how I feel

I know that I should

Keep it to myself

I don't know if it is real.

I've been trying to discover

Who I really am inside

This is a difficult journey

When you are your only tour guide.

I want to look deep into my soul

I am scared of what I might see.

When I look into the mirror

I see a stranger looking back at me.

If only I could understand

Every little thought.

Every little feeling

This is all I've got.

Sometimes I think

I'm losing my mind

And that no matter

what I do or say

I might never find

That special someone

With whom I can share

Each and every day.

Everyone keeps telling me

How this one day

will eventually come

I just have to keep waiting

And love will find its own way.

Although, it seems easier for some.

I just have to keep waiting
