A Good Opportunity

I started off the day badly because I was late for my first meeting. I actually broke down and cried because I felt so defeated. I was so mad at myself for not leaving earlier to get there on time. I knew how important this day was. I met with my employment counselor first and we went over interview strategies. Then, he introduced me to my job developer. She is a nice woman who has many contacts. I am sure she will help me and I am thankful that she has been introduced to me. She made a couple of phone calls and she called a company that she knew was still hiring. They told her that they needed some info from me and she gave me a number to call. I called them, gave them the info they asked for and they told me they'd get back to me. They called me back and told me that I can start next week! I am so happy and excited. I feel really good about this.

The job sounds pretty easy, just cleaning out empty apartments and getting them ready for new tenants, as well as cleaning carpets with a carpet cleaning machine. If I do well in this job, it could open many doors for me. I feel confident that I can do this. And finally I will get paid for something I know I can do, which is even better.

I think that is all I have to say right now. If I think of anything else, I'll post it later.
