Knead It

Tonight, I made some peanut butter cookies.
I showed my boyfriend how to make them this time.
He said it was very easy because there are only 3 ingredients.
Only peanut butter, sugar, and one egg.
Also, he said they don't take long to bake. Only 15 minutes.

I also, made another dough/clay for sculpting with.
It is easy to make, too. Only flour, salt, and water.
I'm building a tiny house with it.
I cut out the squares I need for the base, the walls,
the roof and the tiles for the roof.
There are other parts, too, I'll have to make another time.

Anyway, the more you knead it, the better the consistency.

I have made bread before, with dough.
The trick to making bread is that you use yeast.
Then you let the dough 'rise' before you bake it.
The more it 'rises' the fluffier the bread is.
Fresh bread is good for the winter.
Well, good for any time, but I like it more in the winter.
I keep meaning to make some for my boyfriend,
but he only likes whole wheat, so I have to get whole wheat flour.
I have also made pasta from dough before.
Whole wheat is very filling. But I'll probably make some, eventually.
Been working so much these days, hard to squeeze stuff in sometimes.

Anyway, it will be nice to have time to knit, crochet, sculpt, cook, bake...
And to get chores done around here. More energy + time = stuff done.
I like kneading dough. I don't know why. Just like using my hands.
I think it is the squishing part that makes it fun.
Like how little kids like playing with play dough.
It is versatile and malleable. It can be shaped into anything.

I have lots of empty toilet paper rolls,
Not sure what I am going to do with them, yet,
but the plan is to eventually get into paper mache.
I know there is an accent on the e at the end,
but don't know how to do it on the keyboard.

Anyway, there are lots of great tutorials on youtube.
How to make all kinds of things. I love it.
I often say "I wish youtube was around when I was a kid."
Especially when I was learning how to knit and crochet.
I love watching crochet tutorials. My boyfriend finds them boring.
When I watch them, he goes and reads a book or something.

I'll probably watch more tutorials or something
while my dough is baking in the oven, then go to bed.
