Been watching a show called Shameless.
Made it to the end of season 6.
They always keep you guessing what will happen next.
And the theme song can get stuck in your head.
Thing is, it is pretty much the same as the UK version.
I was kind of disappointed by that.
Even the characters names are the same.
The story line, too. Maybe it veers off at a certain point,
I only watched part of the first episode of the UK version
and pretty much everything about the story line is the same.
I don't think I'll continue to watch the UK version.
Just weird seeing the same script with different people playing the roles.
But, it is a pretty good show, if you like this sort of thing.
Some people don't like it and that is their choice.
They just can't handle the raw facts of life.
And I was surprised that a couple of the members of the cast are Canadian.
I was surprised Jimmy returned to the show (Justin Chatwin)
I would like him to return again. I bet a lot of people do.
Not sure what is going to happen with Noel Fisher's role.
His character is in jail at the moment.
(Didn't say there weren't any spoilers in this post.)
At least I'm leaving out the details.
So if you want to know why, then you have to watch it.
Don't know what is going to happen at work tomorrow.
Because they keep changing things.
Might have to change my shifts around, again.
Getting used to Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Except now they want Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Which they should have done a long time ago.
Plus they are increasing the hours and giving us more work to do over there.
There is already enough work because those people are slobs.
I dread going there. I really do. Never know what to expect.
The best part of that shift is when it is over and we can go home.
Thing is by the time we get out of there, it is late and
I really don't see us doing that shift in the winter. It would be hell.
The commute itself would be hell in the winter, let alone getting out so late.
I know it won't be forever, but in the meantime
it would be nice if they got their shit together and made up their minds.
Also would be nice if they did something about the massive ant infestation
so that I don't have ants all over me when I'm done working.
Was on the bus and thought I felt them crawling on me.
I did actually find one on me. I don't mind ants in general,
but it will be an issue if they get on me.
The reason they have ants in the first place is because of all the food.
The employees get little perks like food and beer.
Not us, though. But the people who work at the client's company.
I hate cleaning out the fridges. Which is my job.
I hate the smell of the beer in the recycling.
It is so tempting for me sometimes. I can hardly stand it.
At the other place, someone was throwing away a bottle of vodka.
With about 5 shots worth left inside the bottle.
I kept thinking about it for the rest of my shift and afterwards.
How badly I wanted to just drink it.
How much I miss drinking.
Even going to some bars are hard for me sometimes.
Especially with my friends and my boyfriend.
They all still drink. I miss it. I miss a lot about it.
I just don't miss the headaches, the hangovers, the puking.
I kind of miss getting drunk, though. The feeling of being drunk.
But not how I was when I was drunk. If that makes any sense.
I still find it hard staying on the wagon after 2 years.
Especially when it is always around and so easily accessible.
