Turning It All Around

Despite how we are feeling, we have to keep living.
Life doesn't just end because of any setbacks.
Despite the pain, there's still hope to be had and held onto
For all that hope is worth and it's worth so much.
I felt awful yesterday. The worst I have felt in a long time.
But there were still good moments, that took me away
From my feelings of doom and gloom.
Dinner and coffee with a friend.
A couple of good conversations.
A friend sharing their happiness with me.
I can be happy that someone I care about is happy.
Happiness is one of the only things in life
that increases when it is shared.
Dreams of deep, unfulfilled desires.
Resolutions.
When some things end,
New things begin.
Some things end JUST so that
New things CAN begin.
There ARE reasons.
I don't have to feel bad.
Sometimes it can't be helped, but...
It ALL can be turned around.
There ARE silver linings for dark clouds.
The dark clouds only mask the shining sun.
The sun still shines behind them.
The sun doesn't stop shining just because we can't see it.
As hopeless as things seem to be,
Hope is like the sun shining behind the dark clouds.
It's still there, waiting. Patiently. For us. All of us.
No matter what happens. Life goes on.
So should we. If life is not grinding to a halt,
Then why the heck are we?
Push through the pain. That's what we all have to do.
No matter how we feel about it. Gotta do it.
That's what pain is for.
Pain and pleasure rarely, if ever sit down together,
but they always come from the same place.
Same with all of it.
Why do opposites attract?
Because they are all from the same place.
Everything in between the two extremes
is what will always bring them together.
That magnetic force. Magnetic energy.

And I was thinking tonight about goals...
